Want to make a seriously fantastic burger? You know the kind. Messy, juicy, grilled and delicious. Now that you know how to make bacon jam, you are only a few ingredients away from your best burger.
BLUE CHEESE BURGERS with BACON JAM
- ground chuck
- blue cheese
- bacon jam
- arugula
- fresh buns
SEASON the beef with Worchestershire, salt and pepper to taste. Make a little well in the center of your patties when forming, it collects all the juices as you are grilling. The juices will soak back into the beef for super moist burgers.
TOASTING the buns is easy; toss them on the grill for the last few minutes as the burgers finish cooking. You’ll be so glad you did.
SELECT a good blue. We’re partial to Rogue Creamery’s blues, you can find them here. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the Oregon Blue is especially good with bacon jam. If you are not a fan of blue’s, substitute with a good cheddar or other favorite cheese.
FRESH greens like arugula or frisee are a must to cut the richness of the cheese and bacon jam with a crunchy bite.
LIGHTLY spread the toasted buns with a good mayonnaise (optional) and you are ready to go. Layer your burgers and stack them high to serve. Happy grilling!
