How do you clean your laptop? Get it too wet, and you’re going to ruin it for sure. You don’t want to do that. Instead of grabbing whatever you can find to clean it how you see fit, it’s important to know how to actually go about doing it right. The first thing you want to do is make sure that you have your laptop turned off. It also needs to be unplugged, and guess what, you’re actually going to need dish soap and water. You also need a sponge. This is only for the case, not for the screen or keys. Yet this is the solution that is recommended for cleaning the case of your laptop.

Personally, I prefer to use alcohol wipes on a laptop case, but again, the detergent and water mix is one of the top suggestions. When you do use the sponge, however, you’re going to want to make sure it isn’t dripping wet. In fact, you need it wrung out, yet it’s still moist with the solution it needs to do the cleaning.

You’re going to want to carefully wipe down the case. Don’t move too fast, and make sure that you don’t wipe any areas that shouldn’t be wiped. You can have a little swab on hand for those little corners and crevices. The last thing you’re going to need is the lint free cloth, which is used for the finishing touch.

How do you go about cleaning the glass on your laptop? There are actually many ways you can do it. One suggested way is actually to use the sponge. Yet I don’t recommend doing that at all. If you want, there is an LCD screen cleaning kit. That is one easy way to get the job done.

You can also use a lint free cloth to do it the dry way. I have actually used an alcohol wipe for the screen, too, but I’m not sure that’s actually a suggested method to use. I would go for the LCD screen cleaning kit if I were you.

What about cleaning they keyboard? You know there are those compressed air cleaners. Some people use vacuums, too. You don’t want to wipe down the keys with anything wet. You can use a lint free cloth or an eraser. You didn’t expect the eraser, did you? Now you know how to clean your laptop computer.

Obviously, if you are limited on your budget, you are going to have limited options. Luckily, there are plenty of different laptops that can suit various budgets. Therefore, you should have plenty to choose from even if you are on the low end. With the new lightweight operating systems out now like Chrome OS, you should be able to find a capable laptop for an extremely low price.

3. Processor, Graphics Card, Ram

When you are looking at the specifications of a laptop, one of the main things that you will be concerned with is the speed and power of the laptop. For this reason, you are primarily going to be concerned with the processor, graphics card, and the ram. These are three critical components that can make or break your laptop’s performance. Depending on what you are planning on doing with the laptop, you are likely going to have different experiences based on these specific components. For instance, if you are someone that runs a lot of heavy software, you are likely going to require more RAM for multitasking. Whereas, if you are someone that games with your laptop, you will need all three to be high-end.

4. Storage

Another major factor that should influence your buying decision would be the storage capacity. While you could always add more external storage or even change the internal storage, you are likely going to want to invest in a laptop that has a sufficient amount for your needs. If you are someone that leverages the cloud a lot, you might not necessarily require a lot of onboard storage. Whereas, if you are someone that likes to or has to store things locally on your hard drive, you are going to want a big enough storage drive on your laptop.
